Partners in long term care

Our practice employs caring, compassionate clinicians who share our service philosophy. We are focused on leading a team that provides quality dental and medical care to the “Greatest Generation”

Dental

Dental care is vital for nursing home patients because oral health is closely linked to overall health, comfort, and quality of life. Many elderly individuals are at increased risk for tooth decay, gum disease, dry mouth, and oral infections due to medications, chronic conditions, and reduced ability to perform daily oral hygiene.

Without regular dental care, these issues can lead to pain, difficulty eating, poor nutrition, and increased risk of systemic health problems such as infections and cardiovascular complications. Routine dental visits help with early detection, proper treatment, and maintenance of oral hygiene, preventing more serious conditions.

Each resident is provided with an individualized plan of care that is formulated by the facility dentist. Residents will have regularly scheduled cleanings and exams.

Our on-site dental program includes:

  • Exams
  • Cleanings
  • Denture Fabrication
  • Denture Relines
  • Denture Repairs
  • Denture Cleaning
  • Simple Extractions
  • X-Rays

Optometry

Our Optometry care is essential for nursing home patients because vision plays a critical role in maintaining overall health, safety, and quality of life. Many older adults experience age-related eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration, which can go undiagnosed or untreated without regular eye exams. Poor vision increases the risk of falls, medication errors, and loss of independence.

Our on-site optometry program includes treatment of:

  • Glaucoma
  •  Macular degeneration
  •  Cataracts
  •  Viral/bacterial/allergic conjunctivitis Diabetic retinal exams
  •  Dilated fundus exams
  •  Eyeglasses
  •  IOP checks (Intraocular Pressure)

Podiatry

Podiatry care is essential for nursing home patients because foot health directly impacts mobility, comfort, and overall well-being. Many elderly individuals suffer from conditions such as thickened nails, corns, calluses, fungal infections, and poor circulation, often worsened by chronic diseases like diabetes.

Without regular foot care, these issues can lead to pain, infections, ulcers, and even serious complications such as falls or amputations. Nursing home residents may also have difficulty caring for their own feet due to limited mobility or vision, making routine podiatric services especially important.

Our on-site podiatry program includes treatment of:

  • Thickened toenails
  • Fungal nail infections
  • Ingrown toenails
  • Dry and cracked heels
  • Bunions
  • Heel pain
  • Blisters
  • Gout
  • Calluses and corn

Audiology

Audiology care is essential for nursing home patients because hearing health plays a key role in communication, safety, and cognitive function. Many older adults experience hearing loss, which often goes undiagnosed or untreated in long-term care settings.

Untreated hearing impairment can lead to social isolation, depression, confusion, and an increased risk of cognitive decline. It can also make it difficult for residents to understand caregivers, follow instructions, or respond to alarms and important sounds, impacting their safety and quality of care.

Our on-site audiology program includes:

  • Comprehensive diagnostic audiological examinations
  • Hearing aid evaluation and repair
  • Dispensing and adjusting new digital hearing aids
